Nice to meet you! Also, no offence, but I downloaded Shannon's Voicebank and the otos are'nt very good. I DID read Shannon's wiki page, and I had the same problem with otoing before, so I hope these guides might help you:
[link] [link] kkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Did those guides help? If not, try this:
kkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
(lets say that's your sample. Now, you've got to drag things from the back. Drag the red line to the end of the consonent.)
kk]aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
(drag the green line in the middle)
k|k]aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
(drag the pink highlighting patch a bit after the consontent)
k|k]aa)aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
(and then the blue highlights where there is no sound)
----------k|k]aa)aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
(btw consonant is the k in ka, the t in te, or the w in a. Its what's not a vowel)
Oh, and the alias thing. I recorded in romaji. (kakekikoku, fafefifofu, ect.)
In utau there's an option in one of the boxes above the oto button where you type in the hiragana symbol for it.
So, if you recorded Ka, you would type in か for the alias.
(then finally at the end of the recoding, you drag out the purple, which shows where there's no sound)
----------k|k]aa)aaaaaaaaaaaaaa________________________
(Sorry if it's phrased weirdly, this is a message a friend sent to me to help me with otoing. Also, clicking the "p" button in the editor will let you hear the sound.)
